RN SUPERVISOR, LSH NURSING SNF

About the role

Develops and maintains an environment that supports all of the staff in the nursing department. Supervises and coordinates activities of nursing personnel in a nursing home. Promotes and restores resident health by developing day to day management and long-term planning of the resident care area. Participates in planning work of assigned units and coordinates activities with the interdisciplinary team. Ensures that resident needs are met and evaluates nursing care and performance. Provides physical and psychological support for resident, family, and friends. Monitors resident record keeping for accuracy, completion, and compliance with all regulations. Supervises on-duty nursing staff. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Participates in planning work of assigned units and coordinates activities with the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensures that resident needs are met and evaluates nursing care and performance.
• Provides physical and psychological support for resident, family, and friends.
• Makes sure resident record keeping is accurate, complete, and compliant with all regulations.
• Supervises on-duty nursing staff.
• Contributes to the development of processes and procedures.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the State of Georgia.
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR required.
• Relevant clinical experience required.
• Leadership, supervision, and/or management experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to assess and adapt to new situations, think critically, manage priorities and utilize problem-solving techniques, and demonstrate appropriate verbal, non-verbal and behavioral communication.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop others individually and as a team.
• Ability to communicate clearly with, and care for diverse population of patients/family units of all ages, a variety of cultures, and/or persons occasionally exhibiting stressed behaviors.
• Ability to operate clinical equipment, computer and telecommunications devices.
• Demonstrated current knowledge of patient/resident care, leadership, and management principles.
