RN Supervisor - FT, 1st Shift
Position Summary
The RN Supervisor serves as a key clinical leader within the Nursing Department, working closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure the highest standards of resident care, regulatory compliance, and team performance. This role combines the responsibilities of nursing supervision and clinical care coordination, providing oversight of daily nursing operations while ensuring that residents receive individualized, person-centered care.
What You'll Do
Clinical Leadership
- Make daily rounds to monitor resident care and support nursing staff.
- Ensure quality care is delivered in accordance with federal, state, and community standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families.
- Aid in resident assessments, care planning, and clinical decision-making.
- Respond to resident concerns, emergencies, and changes in condition.
Team Supervision & Staffing
- Lead, coach, and support nursing team members.
- Maintain a positive culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
- Monitor staff performance and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Aid in employee coaching, corrective action, and professional development.
Resident Care Coordination
- Oversee implementation of physician orders and resident care plans.
- Participate in care conferences, risk management meetings, utilization review, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Monitor changes in resident conditions and communicate effectively with providers and families.
- Support admission, discharge, and transition planning processes.
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
Strong clinical assessment and leadership skills.
Knowledge of long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or senior living environments.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to lead teams while maintaining a resident-centered approach to care.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience.
Experience with CMS regulations and survey processes.
Experience with care planning, staffing coordination, and quality improvement initiatives.
