About the role

As an RN Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will plan, oversee, and execute nursing services while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role involves supervising day-to-day nursing activities, collaborating with the Nursing Director, and coordinating care in alignment with medical requirements and physician directives.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day nursing activities to guarantee top-quality resident care.
  • Collaborate with the Nursing Director to strategize nursing service operations and emergency support provisions for shifts.
  • Coordinate nursing activities in alignment with medical requirements, physician directives, and general care plans.
  • Manage and direct charge nurses to ensure proper resident care.
  • Adjust care plans in collaboration with medical staff to address emergency medical needs.
  • Assume total responsibility for operating decisions in the absence of superiors.
  • Ensure adequate relief staff availability before leaving the facility.
  • Notify residents' personal physicians of significant changes in condition or immediate medical care needs.

Requirements

  • Current state RN license and good standing as a Registered Nurse.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Attention to detail, strong follow-through skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated cooperation in assisting others and ability to work as a team.
  • Long-term care experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care.
  • Weekend on-call availability to support staff and residents.
  • Per diem staff must fulfill (2) weekend shifts monthly.
