RN - Stepdown - Los Alamitos - FT Nights
Position Summary
Orients to the planning and provision of nursing care to patients in the step down unit. Accurately interprets ECG rhythm and manages care of patients during life threatening emergencies in population served. Orientates to the supervision and delegation of care responsibilities to ancillary personnel commensurate with their scope of practice.

Requirements
- Current California Registered Nurse license
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
- Completion of Critical Care Course
- Experience with post-coronary intervention and open heart patients
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Observation skills, good nursing judgement/critical thinking, and oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work with multiple tasks in a team setting utilizing interpersonal, organizational and prioritizing skills
