RN-STAFF/CLIN NURSE- NSICU- 36HR Night Flex Shift

About the role

The RN assesses, implements, and evaluates patient care under physician direction, applies nursing knowledge and the nursing process to collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team, and directs nursing support staff in accordance with nursing practice standards and departmental policies.

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients under the direction of the licensed physician.
• Apply knowledge of nursing principles, theories, current methods, and techniques.
• Utilize the nursing process to collaborate with patients, family members/significant others, professional peers, and other members of the healthcare team to individualize patient care.
• Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to standards of nursing practice, administrative and departmental policies and procedures.
• Pursue professional education, training, or additional certifications as required by specialty area.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred; graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Experience: 1 year experience in area of clinical specialty preferred.
• Licenses: PA Registered Nurse license required; Basic Life Support required; Multi-State Compact RN license required.
