RN-STAFF/CLIN NURSE- 8N-Medical Surgical- 36HR Night Flex Shift (7p- 7a, FLEX, 36H/WEEK EVERY OTHER WEEKEND EVERY OTHER HOLIDAY)

About the role

Assesses, implements, and evaluates care needed by assigned patients under the direction of the licensed physician. The RN is knowledgeable about principles, theories, current methods and techniques of nursing practice. Using the nursing process, the RN collaborates with the patient, patient's family member(s)/significant others, professional peers and other members of the health care team to individualize patient care. Directs nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to the standards of nursing practice, administrative and departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and evaluate patient care under physician direction.
• Apply principles, theories, current methods, and techniques of nursing practice.
• Collaborate with patients, families/significant others, peers, and healthcare team using the nursing process to individualize care.
• Direct nursing support staff in providing care per nursing standards, administrative and departmental policies.
• Participate in professional education, training, or additional certifications as required by specialty area.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred; graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Experience: 1 year experience in area of clinical specialty preferred.
• Licenses: PA Registered Nurse license required; Basic Life Support required; Multi-State Compact RN license required.
