About the role
A registered nurse at Baptist Health is accountable for utilizing the nursing process and the training provided to deliver safe, therapeutic, and compassionate patient care. The nurse is expected to demonstrate clinical competence and critical thinking, know and understand departmental policies and organizational requirements, and integrate them into a unified workflow with the healthcare team to create an exceptional patient experience and optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Apply the nursing process to provide safe, therapeutic, and compassionate care.
- Demonstrate clinical competence and critical thinking in patient care.
- Understand and adhere to departmental policies and organizational requirements.
- Collaborate as a full partner of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Utilize basic knowledge and skills to meet the standard of care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (new RN graduates accepted).
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of Arkansas.
- Healthcare CPR certification (required).
- ACLS, PALS, and/or NALS may be required for some areas (training provided).
- Specialty units will provide specific specialty education.
Qualifications
- BSN preferred.
- Able to practice as a full partner in an interdisciplinary team.
Schedule
- Shift: Night (18:30 – 07:00).
- Authorized hours: 48.00 hours bi-weekly.
