Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses the patient based on their medical condition.
• Knows and administers ordered medications as prescribed.
• Provides care suitable to the patient's condition and age, including basic self-care activities.
• Formulates a teaching plan based on identified learning needs and evaluates its effectiveness.
• Uses nursing knowledge to perform treatments and provide services.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient care.
• Assists physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.
• Demonstrates ability to address psychosocial needs of patients and family, and communicate with social services.
• Promotes cost-effectiveness and reduces unnecessary harm through safe practices.
• Prioritizes patient care effectively and efficiently.

Specifications

• Minimum Required: 2 years’ experience in current unit or specialty area.
• Preferred/Desired: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Preferred/Desired: BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• Special Skills: Computer literacy.
• Licensure: RN; BLS certification within 14 days of hire; ACLS/PALS specialty certification (preferred).
