RN Scheduler - Endoscopy - Jeff Hwy (no weekends or holidays (8-430P, M-F)

About the Role

This position serves as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The role involves effectively delegating, directing, and assisting licensed and ancillary team members while assuming accountability for quality patient outcomes. The incumbent collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, coordinates the patient’s plan of care, and supports the nursing department’s philosophy of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Thinks critically, uses good judgment, and appropriately uses the nursing process when delivering care and scheduling patients.
• Accurately schedules, communicates with, and teaches diverse groups and disciplines using a variety of strategies.
• Communicates effectively, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) while serving as a leader and partner on the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Uses data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction, employee morale, and professional development in nursing.
• Adapts behavior to specific patient populations, including respect for privacy, communication style, and method of introduction.
• Performs other related duties as required.
• Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, or regulatory agency requirements and ensures compliance.

Requirements

• Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 2 years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred).
• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (e.g., 24/7, weekends, holidays, on-call availability).
