RN Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Provides direction and supervision of unlicensed assistive personnel (i.e. Patient Care Technician)
• Demonstrates clinical judgment appropriate for Iowa’s LPN scope of practice
• Uses problem solving techniques and time-management principles
• Delegates appropriately
• Affords direction and supervision of unlicensed assistive personnel (i.e. Patient Care Technician)
• Assists in creating a positive work environment by working with team members to develop and facilitate initiatives to strive for positive outcomes in quality and care of patients
• Effectively communicates with all team members, physicians, ancillary staff and all customers
• Complies with all policies and procedures
• Guides team members with compliance
• Compiles with all safety goals, infection prevention and risk management policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Education: Must have completed an accredited nursing program and possess a valid nursing license
• All newly licensed RNs with less than six (6) months of acute RN experience at the time of application are required to successfully complete the Nurse Residency program
• BSN Preferred
• Experience: Completion of accredited nursing program required
• Licenses/Certifications: Valid nursing license required
• Basic Certified Life Support (AHA) prior to hire
• Receive NIHSS certification within 90 days
• Specialty certification is encouraged
