Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care. The RN collaborates with inter‑professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. The role demonstrates competency within the full scope of nursing expertise, applying age‑ and population‑specific standards in the assigned clinical setting. Responsibilities include caring for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up; planning and coordinating care; patient assessment; patient education; triage; and various nursing interventions. The RN practices within the Nurse Practice Act and relevant administrative rules, adhering to the Sanford Professional Nursing Practice standards, the ANA Code of Ethics, and interpretive statements.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (AACN, ACEN, or NLN CNEA accredited).
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Current, unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs, or multistate licensure in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
• Obtain and maintain required department‑specific competencies and certifications.

• Starting rate: $35.00 – $48.00 per hour.
