RN - Registered Nurse - Pre-op - Same Day Surgery

About the role

BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Pre-op team in Same Day Surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Independently caring for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required
• RN (Registered Nurse) license required
• ACLS Certification, if required by department
• Nurse Specialty certification preferred
• Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
• Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred
• 2 years of RN experience required
• At least one year of RN experience in pre-op preferred
• Interpersonal skills
• Critical thinking skills
• Clinical skills appropriate to position
