Position Overview
The Patient Representative RN serves as a trusted advocate and strategic partner across Emplify Health, helping ensure patients and families feel heard, valued, and supported throughout their healthcare journey. In this role, you'll partner with leaders, care teams, and operational departments to address patient concerns, support service recovery efforts, identify opportunities for improvement, and help strengthen the patient experience across our healthcare system.
What You'll Do
- Partner with operational and clinical leaders to improve the patient experience and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze patient feedback and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Serve as a trusted resource for leaders navigating complex patient concerns and service recovery situations.
- Build collaborative relationships across departments to promote patient-centered outcomes.
- Support initiatives that enhance communication, quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
- Help mitigate organizational risk through proactive problem-solving, conflict resolution, and patient advocacy.
- Review medical records and gather information to investigate and resolve patient concerns.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of Associate degree in Nursing.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Wisconsin upon hire.
- Minimum of 3–4 years of RN experience in a hospital and/or clinic setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five or more years of diverse clinical nursing experience across acute care and ambulatory settings.
- Experience working within Epic electronic medical records system.
- Experience in patient relations, patient advocacy, service recovery, quality improvement, risk management, or healthcare leadership.
- Knowledge of CMS regulations and healthcare complaint/grievance processes.
- Experience influencing change and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and documentation skills.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
- High emotional intelligence, professionalism, and a solution-focused approach to challenging situations.
