About the Role
This role involves providing direct nursing care in a specialized oncology unit, caring for patients with cancer and various medical-surgical conditions such as pneumonia, COPD, CHF, and diabetes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care following organizational policies and protocols.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Coordinate care among healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient management.
- Execute physician and nursing orders.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient conditions and treatments.
- Assist with discharge planning and patient education.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of hire, from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
