RN Registered Nurse - Medical/Telemetry 5 South

About the role
The inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) assesses patient health problems and needs, develops and implements nursing care plans, and maintains medical records. The RN administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients, advises on health maintenance and disease prevention, and maintains accurate, detailed reports and records. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring for reactions and side effects, and tracking symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
5 South is a fast-paced medical telemetry unit offering a diverse and enriching clinical experience in a supportive, team-oriented environment. The unit cares for patients with a broad spectrum of acute and chronic medical conditions—including respiratory, endocrine, renal, and cardiac-related diagnoses—many of whom require continuous cardiac monitoring. This role provides strong opportunities to develop advanced assessment and critical-thinking skills.
Requirements
- Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
- AHA BLS certification prior to the end of the orientation period.
Schedule
- Work Type: Part Time
- FTE: 0.60 (60%)
- Shift: Night (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Night Shift Differential: $5.00/hour
- Every 3rd weekend required
