About the role

The Oncology Nursing Float Pool Infusion RNs will work all infusion center locations to provide competent, confident patient care excellence in coverage of FMLAs or leaves greater than 2 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent, confident patient care excellence in coverage of FMLAs or leaves greater than 2 weeks.
• Work all infusion center locations.
• Apply top of license care, including but not limited to: assessment, symptom intervention, evaluation and patient/family education during the safe delivery of cancer and non-cancer related IV therapies.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• RN License issued by the State of California.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
• ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy certification with current knowledge of chemotherapy protocols.
• Minimum one (1) year of recent (within the last 6 months) oncology infusion center or acute care oncology experience, with experience in infusing cancer-directed therapy.
• BMT experience is highly preferred.
• Must have strong knowledge of cancer care, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Must have the ability to recognize and manage oncologic emergencies.
• Must have positive communication and telephone skills, and positive stress management and coping skills.

Qualifications

• BSN.
• Recent infusion center experience.
• Outpatient experience.
• OCN/BMTCN certification (preferred).

Pay

Annual Full Pay Range: $138,330 - $193,892 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
