Responsibilities
- Affirms and implements the Plan of Care for assigned patients.
- Complies with policies and procedures related to the scope of services in infusion nursing, pharmacy services, and state laws and regulations.
- Adheres to INS and IgNS standards of practice, CDC guidelines, scope and standards of practice, and code of ethics as defined by the American Nurses Association.
- Collaborates with pharmacy staff, sales partners, ordering providers, and patients to develop and monitor treatment goals.
- Maintains patient care documentation in place of service, including records of patients' home visits or Advanced Infusion Services (AIS).
- Manages vascular access devices, including insertion of peripheral infusion devices and peripheral venipuncture blood draws.
- Educates patients and caregivers about their treatments and care plans.
- Evaluates patient progress towards treatment goals and recommends changes to physicians as needed.
- Coordinates nursing care with home health and other community agencies as necessary.
- Participates in on-call rotations as scheduled by branch protocol.
- Completes expense reports monthly, tracking mileage and other miscellaneous incidental expenses.
- Completes annual competencies and mandatory training within assigned deadlines.
- Supervises other nursing staff as required.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
- At least one (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Previous infusion and home health care experience is preferred.
- Extensive experience in IV therapy is required.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Flexible schedule with availability to work various shift models is required.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance are required.
- Must meet company standards for driving record and driver age requirements.

- Physical requirements include constant sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, crouching, stooping, and typing on a keyboard with fingers.
- The ability to push/pull and lift/carry up to 30 lbs is required.

USD $43.00 - $48.00 / Hour
Schedule
100% travel - Regular driving to patient's homes for visits is required as part of this position.
