RN, Registered Nurse - IMC MedSurgical E - PRN

Responsibilities

• Maintains a high standard of professional nursing practice.
• Provides comprehensive care to patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments according to protocols.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
• Evaluates patient progress and adjusts care plans accordingly.
• Provides education to patients, families, and caregivers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• RN license in state of employment or compact.

Qualifications

• Completion of New Nurses Orientation within 30 days of hire.
• Precepted by a designated trained staff member.
• Validated through successful completion of organizational entry competency validation and MedSurg specific competency validation.
• Completion of annual competency verification requirements.

Skills

• Leadership skills as per OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Ability to provide nursing care using the nursing process.
• Knowledge of ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.
• Ability to address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Ability to assess learning needs and provide appropriate education.
