About the role
As a Home Health Aide at Amedisys, you will provide compassionate care to patients in their homes, assisting with daily activities and medication management.Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal hygiene and grooming
- Help patients with meal preparation and nutrition
- Monitor and record patient health and medication schedules
- Support patients with mobility and transportation needs
- Engage with patients and families to ensure their comfort and satisfaction
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Pass a background check
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare or related field preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to perform tasks in various home settings
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR
- Ability to manage time effectively
