About the role
The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care, delegates tasks, and oversees the coordination of patient care plans.
Responsibilities
- Prescribes nursing care
- Delegates nursing activities
- Captures and interprets patient health information
- Coordinates the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
- Ensures optimal quality care is provided in accordance with the hospital's mission and nursing philosophy
- Works within the hospital and unit-specific orientation program
- Includes age and population-specific skills training relevant to the area of practice
- Addresses the growth and development needs of patients receiving care
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in North Carolina
- BLS certification
- Completion of a hospital and unit-specific orientation
- Full range of body motion including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for extended periods
- Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
