RN Registered Nurse 12 Hour Shift (PRN)

About the role

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Garland Road Nursing & Rehab Center, you will participate in and direct the delivery of patient care in accordance with facility clinical systems, regulatory requirements, and physician orders. You will ensure the highest quality services are delivered in a customer-service-friendly environment and play a key role in creating a positive resident experience through quality compassionate healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Maintains appropriate nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practices consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
• Evaluates staffing patterns needed to meet the needs of the residents in conjunction with the Director of Nursing.
• Administers medication and treatments as prescribed.
• Receives, transcribes, and implements physician’s orders.
• Implements and evaluates care plans.
• Identifies and secures equipment supplies.
• Directs and oversees subordinates.
• Participates in duty assignments.
• Organizes and coordinates subordinates, job tasks, and time allotments.
• Oversees and monitors function and activities of subordinate staff.
• Evaluates staff performance and institutes appropriate action, discipline, or training.
• Monitors infection control compliance.
• Investigates and documents accidents and incidents.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current, valid licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Experience in long-term healthcare preferred.
• Management or supervisory experience required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
