RN Regional Flex Labor and Delivery
This position is part of the Flex Program, which consists of nurses who float to multiple hospital sites within the same type of unit. This specific posting is for Labor and Delivery areas only. The role involves floating to five hospital sites: Royal Oak, Troy, Grosse Pointe, Dearborn, and Farmington Hills.
About the Role
The clinical nurse, under the ANA scope of practice, utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family centered care principles. The Clinical Nurse provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Beaumont policies and procedures. This position is scheduled and reports to the Beaumont Flex Office located at the Beaumont Service Center.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Diploma, A.D.N., B.S.N., M.S.N., DNP/PhD).
- 2 years of recent related acute care RN experience, required.
- Must demonstrate proficiency through competency testing in all nursing areas eligible for floating.
- Active RN license in the State of Michigan.
- Specialty Certification highly recommended after 2 years in specialty.
- Current BLS certification through American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
