About the role
The RN Quality Coordinator supports the hospital’s quality and patient safety programs through coordination of performance improvement initiatives, data analysis, and regulatory compliance activities. This role collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to monitor clinical outcomes, implement evidence-based practices, and promote a culture of continuous quality improvement.
Responsibilities
- Coincide and support quality and performance improvement initiatives
- Monitor, analyze, and report clinical outcomes, core measures, and patient safety indicators
- Conduct chart reviews, audits, and root cause analyses (RCAs)
- Support regulatory compliance and survey readiness efforts
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based practices
- Educate staff on quality initiatives and patient safety standards
- Track and trend data, presenting findings to leadership and committees
Requirements
- (RN) Registered Nurse required
- Current Texas RN license (or compact state license)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- 2 years of acute care hospital experience required
- Experience in quality, patient safety, or performance improvement preferred
- Strong knowledge of regulatory standards (CMS, Joint Commission) preferred
Qualifications
- (LPN/LVN) Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse, or (RN) Registered Nurse
- No travel required
- 2 years experience required
Skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Proficiency in quality management software
