Role and Responsibilities: The RN in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) provides high-quality, patient-centered care, including pre- and post-operative nursing, assessing patient conditions, performing procedures, administering medications, and documenting care. They collaborate with medical providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes and serve as patient advocates to enhance the care experience. Qualifications and Skills: Candidates must hold a valid RN license, with a Bachelor's, Associate Degree, or RN Diploma. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) is required, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 60 days of employment. Knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical care, procedures, and equipment is essential. Key Duties Assess patient status during admission and shifts, reporting changes.Perform medical procedures as ordered.Document care accurately and timely.Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.Maintain knowledge of relevant medications, procedures, and equipment.
