RN-PRN II - ER

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses the patient based on their medical condition.
• Knows and administers ordered medications as prescribed.
• Provides care appropriate to the patient's condition and age, including basic self-care activities.
• Formulates a teaching plan based on identified learning needs and evaluates its effectiveness, involving the family when appropriate.
• Utilizes nursing knowledge to perform treatments and provide services.
• Communicates and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient care.
• Demonstrates ability to assist physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.
• Identifies and addresses psychosocial needs of patients and families, communicating with social services as needed.
• Promotes cost-effectiveness and efficient use of resources, including supplies, linen, and charge items.
• Prioritizes patient care effectively and efficiently.
• Promotes patient safety by reducing the risk of unnecessary harm associated with healthcare.
• Engages in lifelong learning related to the nursing profession.

Specifications

• Experience: Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience.

• Licenses: RN; BLS certification within 14 days of hire; ACLS/PALS specialty certification preferred.

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

• Training: Preferred/Desired.

• Skills: Computer literacy preferred.
