MTC is proud to operate the Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center in Reno, NV. Our staff provides quality services to local youth and values dedicated professionals who improve lives.

Responsibilities

• Treat and prevent minor injuries and illnesses
• Assure all medical clinical care is provided to students
• Provide information and guidance for the promotion of good health and well-being of students
• Supervise LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurses)/LVNs to ensure compliance with state regulations and scope of practice
• Provide basic health care to students as required by DOL, including all entry requirements and immunizations
• Monitor students with illness and unable to attend class

Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment
• Experience working with youth in a paid or unpaid capacity is preferred
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record

Qualifications

• Education: Valid, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment

Skills

• Ability to provide nursing care
• Knowledge of state regulations and scope of practice for practical and/or vocational nurses
• Ability to monitor and provide basic health care to students
