About the role
Private duty nursing (PDN) allows medically fragile patients to receive quality, skilled nursing care in the comfort of their home: a setting preferred by most patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to medically fragile patients in their homes
- Assist with daily living activities as needed
- Monitor patient health and report changes to healthcare providers
- Ensure patient safety and comfort
Requirements
- Current state licensure as a private duty nurse
- Experience providing skilled nursing care
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Passing background check and drug screening
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a private duty nursing program
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Skilled in providing personal care services
- Knowledgeable about medical terminology and conditions
- Proficient in using medical equipment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
