About the role
This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in Pre-Op & Recovery within an outpatient surgery center.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for procedures by conducting assessments, reviewing medical histories and medications, and initiating IVs.
- Provide patient education and ensure understanding of procedures.
- Monitor vital signs, manage pain and nausea, and recognize potential complications in Recovery.
- Ensure safe discharge by assessing patient readiness.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and clinical staff to deliver high-quality care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Support a calm, patient-centered environment utilizing advanced technology in a fast-paced setting.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current RN licensure.
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach.
- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic healthcare environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of infection control, safety standards, and clinical procedures.
