RN, PeriOp, Sandy Springs Outpatient Surgery Center (Part Time)

About the role

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

• Independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Works collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure patient care goals are met.
• Documents patient care activities accurately and timely according to hospital policies and procedures.
• Adheres to infection control protocols and maintains sterile technique.
• Maintains current knowledge of nursing practices and standards through continuing education and professional development.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Held Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Preferred

• BSN degree.
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
