RN, Per Diem-Urgent Care
About the role
The Urgent Care RN, under the general direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager or their designee, provides total nursing to patients of all ages appropriate to unit. Effective interactions with patients, healthcare members, while maintaining standards of professional nursing are essential.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care in accordance with the nursing process.
- Assesses patient needs and develops care plans.
- Administers medications and treatments as ordered.
- Documents patient care accurately and timely.
- Maintains a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Participates in unit-specific orientation.
Requirements
- Diploma from an accredited school of nursing with valid NYS licensure required.
- Current BLS card.
- Minimum one year of Medical/Surgical experience required.
- Good communication skills and ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid New York State license as a Registered Nurse.
- One year of experience in a Medical/Surgical setting preferred.

- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Pay
Employee salary is based on commensurate experience and other qualifications. Pay Range: $42.84/hour.
Schedule
Hours vary depending on the shift and location, typically ranging from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM, or 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM.
