About the role

Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessing patients, ensuring nursing care is provided safely and competently, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Administer medications to patients and monitor for reactions or side effects.
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
• Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• At least 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Registered Nurse [RN - State License] required.
• Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] required.
• Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Certification [NRP] preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification [PALS] preferred.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with practical nursing principles and skills.
• Knowledge of care required by respective age groups.
• Confidentiality and secure information handling skills.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Able to accurately screen and triage acute patients.
