About the Role
Join Medical City Dallas as an RN Pediatrics Super Pool and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality, family-centered, and holistic care to pediatric patients. This role involves organizing, implementing, modifying, evaluating, and documenting individualized care plans for acute and critically ill pediatric patients. You will participate in process improvement initiatives and support the organization's mission, vision, and values while maintaining age-specific care for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and young adult populations.
Responsibilities
- Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with a focus on pediatric acute and critically ill patients.
- Develop, implement, modify, evaluate, and document individualized, family-centered, and holistic care plans.
- Participate in Medical City Children’s Hospital (MCCH) initiatives and process improvement efforts.
- Maintain high-quality, age-specific care for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients.
- Work in at least 4 of the following areas, with 2 being critical care: NICU, PICU, CHSU, Pediatric ED, 6D, 6N, or Stem Cell Transplant (pediatric patients).
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
- If hired after June 1, 2012, a BSN is required within 24 months of hire into the RN position.
- 3–6 years of RN experience in pediatrics, as per agreement.
- Minimum of 3 years of hospital experience in pediatrics.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Neonatal Resuscitate (NRP) certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment.
- STABLE certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment.
