Join our dedicated 14‑bed Pediatric Unit at Sacred Heart Medical Center Springfield, a Level II Trauma Center, where every day brings the opportunity to provide expert care and support to young patients during some of their most critical moments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and evaluate individualized patient care.
• Accurately document care in the electronic health record.
• Coordinate and delegate care across the clinical team.
• Maintain clinical excellence through ongoing learning and development.
• Support quality, safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to departmental goals, initiatives, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Education: Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing required (BSN preferred)
• Experience: Minimum one year RN experience required in acute pediatrics (or completion of a new grad training/new to specialty fellowship program in acute care pediatrics)
• Credentials: Required: State of Oregon nursing license; Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support
• Working Conditions: Lifting patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices (NIOSH); fine motor skills to grasp and control medical equipment and perform precise procedures; push/pull frequently up to 45 lbs. force (e.g., WOW, medical carts); perform hands‑on CPR at least 20 mins using 100‑125 lbs. of force (National Assoc. of EMS Physicians and AHA) – frequency should be seldom or occasionally; ability to move around area with frequent sitting; bending/stooping/squatting/reaching/kneeling frequently; lifting (non‑patient) up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently; exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles; must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment; vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted); ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
