RN Pedi Trauma - Seasonal
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.
Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Core must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date
- (RN) Registered Nurse
- Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
- Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Program Requirements
- All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period.
- Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need.
- Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period.
- During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee).
- Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off.
- There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital.
- Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for extra shift bonuses (D1/CND or D2/ECD).
