Travel contract in Tucson, Arizona from 08/31/2026 to 11/28/2026 for 13 weeks, 36 hours per week on the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM).
About the role
Work as part of a Resource Float Pool supporting adult inpatient units across two campuses. Float throughout Med-Surg, PCU, IMC, and Observation units based on hospital needs. PCU travelers may occasionally float to ED or PACU to care for adult-health patients awaiting inpatient beds.
- BUMC-Tucson is a Level I Trauma, 625-bed hospital.
- BUMC-South is a Level III Trauma, 245-bed hospital, approximately 10 minutes from the Tucson campus.
Important: This is not a standard PCU assignment. The traveler needs to be comfortable being a float-pool RN and potentially working Med-Surg, PCU, IMC, Observation, and occasionally ED/PACU.
Requirements
- Recent PCU experience
- Level I Trauma experience — REQUIRED
- Large hospital experience — REQUIRED
- Must be comfortable floating across multiple adult inpatient units
- Navy scrubs required; navy warm-up jacket permitted
