RN-Patient Placement Center - Full Time

Responsibilities

• Assesses bed availability for all areas of the hospital.
• Proficient in electronic bed management systems.
• Participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery.
• Provides clinical leadership.
• Sustains lifelong learning.
• Captures patient admissions and transfers:
• Coordinates with healthcare providers, patients, and families to ensure appropriate unit placement.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate care and treatment.
• Ensures all necessary patient information is accurately documented and communicated to the appropriate healthcare providers.
• Manages patient flow throughout the hospital to prevent delays or bottlenecks.
• Facilitates communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Maintains compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to patient privacy and safety.
• Follows the escalation process involving Administration and House Supervisors.
• Facilitates transfer back process between entities.
• Monitors and coordinates care for emergent/urgent conditions (STEMI) through Pulsara.
• Enters orders timely for Strokes and STEMI's.
• Affords assistance with problem-solving regarding patient movement/orders.

Requirements

• Minimum Required: RN and 1 years in acute care.
• PREFERRED/DESIRED: Knowledge of Baptist hospitals and specialty units, EPIC experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
