RN-PACU/Recovery

About the role

Provides direct post-operative and post-procedure nursing care in a surgery recovery setting, following established standards such as AORN and ASPAN. Monitors patient responses, manages pain, and anticipates patient-specific needs to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality post-op care adhering to clinical protocols
• Monitor patient responses and adjust care as needed
• Manage pain and comfort levels effectively
• Coordinate with healthcare team for patient needs

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or applicable multi-state license
• Current BLS certification; ACLS certification within 6 months preferred
• Optional Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensure
