RN - PACU - Per Diem

The Peri-anesthesia (PACU) RN at CHA Everett Hospital is responsible for all aspects of care for perioperative patients in the preoperative phase and immediate post-operative phase through discharge. The peri-anesthesia nurse manages all aspects of nursing care for patients in pre-anesthesia testing, Surgical Day Care and PACU. Key responsibilities include:

• Pre-admission and pre-op duties
• Nurse duties in PACU

Qualifications/Experience

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Massachusetts license in good standing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred
• Certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Two years current PACU/critical care experience that includes recovery of patients over a continuum of care from general, regional or local anesthesia and moderate sedation

On Call Requirements

• Variable start times
• On-call obligations including weekday nights, weekends and holidays
