About the role

The role involves performing nursing care/treatment modalities, assisting with procedures, supporting patient education, and handling administrative tasks in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing care/treatment modalities appropriate for individual patients.
• Aids in procedures, removes sutures, cleans wounds, and applies dressings.
• Supports principles from Capital Health’s core mission.
• Assesses patients’ needs for education and plans accordingly.
• Communicates with patients and their families, explains test results, and prepares patients for examinations.
• Collects and records patient histories, reviews lab and test results, and prepares exam rooms.
• Administers medications accurately and documents patient records.
• Completes competency checklists and performs quality assurance activities.
• Maintains logs of laboratory work and refrigeration temperatures.
• May participate in research studies.
• Trains patients on medical phone calls and schedules appointments.
• Demonstrates willingness to assist during peak patient care times.

Requirements

• Education: Associates degree or higher, with a BSN preferred.
• Licensure: NJ or PA RN license required, second out-of-state license within three months.
• Experience: One year in an acute, urgent care, or outpatient setting.
• Other Credentials: AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider certification.
