RN Outpatient Observation (will consider new grads)

About the role

Fairview is searching for enthusiastic RNs for a rewarding career in their Extended Recovery & Short Stay Unit at Edina, Minnesota. The unit cares for adult patients with a variety of medical needs, including chest pain, back pain, gastroenteritis, and post-procedural and post-surgical patients. The unit focuses on improving processes to enhance patient and family experiences and improve patient flow.

Responsibilities

• Affirms patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and other healthcare team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care.
• Develops an individualized plan based on age, social, and cultural considerations, condition, and other relevant needs.
• Evaluates care and patient responses to interventions and expected outcomes.
• Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care.
• Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways, and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
• Promotes a culture of evidence-based practice (EBP).

Requirements

• MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• One year of experience

Pay

The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting. An individual's pay rate within this range may be influenced by various factors, including FTE, skills, knowledge, educational background, and qualifying experience as specified in the contract. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.
