RN - Outpatient Infusion Center - Part-Time (Days)

Part-time (24 hours per week) position in the DPH Outpatient Infusion Center, working days.

Responsibilities

• Administers patient care in an outpatient infusion or post-acute transitional care setting where patients typically return home the same day.
• Utilizes ambulatory care nursing knowledge and evidence-based practice to promote wellness, restore health, address health-related issues, and support end-of-life care.
• Assesses patients’ needs and develops individualized plans of care based on current nursing standards and patient age-specific requirements.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan to meet patient needs.
• Prescribes, delegates, coordinates, and documents patient care, including assessments, education, medication administration, treatments, and safety.
• Performs nursing skills and operates patient care/unit equipment competently as defined by unit-specific requirements.
• Prioritizes patient care in alignment with Evidence-Based Practice Standards of Care.
• Practices effective problem identification and resolution.
• Delegates tasks to healthcare team members based on patient needs and team member qualifications.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and the unit/department.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, or TNCC certification may be required for certain areas.
• 1 year of experience required unless approved by AVP level or above.
