About the role
Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital is a Magnet Hospital, offering world-class healthcare. The General Surgery 5D Unit cares for bariatric, neurology, spinal, and orthopedic surgery patients.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional care to patients and their families.
- Implement, monitor, and update patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate patient conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Note and follow physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
- Provide healthcare education as needed.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
- One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) within three years preferred.
- Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Medium Work physical demands.
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN); Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN); Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross; One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience.
- Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) within three years; ACLS certification within first year of hire.

Pay
- Pay Range Minimum: $35.50 per hour.
- Pay Range Maximum: $55.60 per hour.
Schedule
- Day/evening rotation from 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. and 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.
- Rotating weekend and holiday requirements.
