RN or Graduate Nurse Resident - Neuro (FT, Nights)

About the role

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Must obtain and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure, meeting state board requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire; plus any unit‑specific certifications as required.
• Physical requirements: Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly; prolonged standing and walking each shift; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Pay

• Experienced RN: Up to $10,000 sign‑on bonus (no contract required).
• New RN: Up to $7,500 sign‑on bonus (no contract required).
• ASN to BSN bridging program: up to $16,000 assistance.
• BSN to MSN bridging program: up to $16,000 assistance.
• RN Loan Forgiveness program: assistance with RN student loan debt (must start within 12 months of graduation).

Schedule

• Status: Full‑Time, 36 hours per week.
• Shift: 12‑hour nights, 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
