RN- Operating Room (OR) - Days

We are seeking an experienced Travel OR Registered Nurse (RN) for an exciting 13-week contract assignment. This opportunity is ideal for a confident perioperative nurse with strong operating room experience who is ready to step into a fast-paced surgical environment and make an immediate impact. The successful candidate will bring excellent clinical judgment, strong teamwork skills, and the ability to provide safe, efficient care throughout the perioperative process.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to surgical patients throughout the perioperative experience.
• Prepare patients, equipment, and the OR environment for scheduled procedures.
• Assist with surgical procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after surgical procedures as appropriate to the RN role.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure appropriate surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment are available.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and surgical-site protocols.
• Respond effectively to changing patient and procedural needs.
• Support efficient OR turnover while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2+ years of OR/Operating Room RN experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS preferred
• Strong perioperative nursing and surgical-care skills
• Ability to work the required day schedule
• Willingness to participate in call rotation
• Availability for holiday coverage
• Ability to start ASAP

Assignment Details

• 13-week travel assignment
• ASAP start
• Days: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Regular schedule: Monday, Tuesday & Friday
• Call required
• Holiday coverage required

Pay

$90/hr approved rate

Schedule

6:30 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday
