About the role

The RN Nursing Supervisor coordinates the activities of the Patient Care Unit to facilitate quality patient care in support of the Mission and Values. The role assumes responsibility for the administration of the nursing unit as delegated by or in the absence of the Nurse Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities of the Patient Care Unit to ensure quality patient care.
  • Assume responsibility for the administration of the nursing unit as delegated by or in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
  • Manage staff, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Oversee the implementation of care plans and ensure patient safety.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination among staff, patients, and families.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and continuous quality improvement processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Coursework/Training: Completed in-house training or 1 year experience in Labor and Delivery.
  • Preferred: Lactation training/education.
  • Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • 3 years experience in specialty or related area.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a RN Supervisor, Charge RN or Relief Charge RN in Labor and Delivery; NRP Certification through the American Academy of Pediatrics; AWHONN - Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification; RNC-OB or C-EFM certification; Lactation training/education.

Qualifications

  • Current California Registered Nurse License.
  • Current National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • 3 years experience in specialty or related area.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a RN Supervisor, Charge RN or Relief Charge RN in Labor and Delivery; NRP Certification through the American Academy of Pediatrics; AWHONN - Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification; RNC-OB or C-EFM certification; Lactation training/education.

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The base pay range is $68.94 - $108.84. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

This position is Full-Time and will work 12-hour Night shifts to include weekend/holiday rotations.
