RN - Nursing Practice Specialist

Job Description Summary

This position assists with development, implementation and evaluation of policies, procedures and programs in support of an evidence-based practice environment and professional models of care, acts as an educational resource and facilitator of teams or groups.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties as a High Reliability Organization (HRO).
• Assists with development, implementation and evaluation of policies, procedures and programs in support of an evidence-based practice environment and professional models of care.
• Acts as an educational resource and facilitator of teams or groups.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree: Nursing (Required)
• BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

• RN licensure in state of Ohio.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing: Clinical nursing care and nursing operations from the unit and organizational perspective scope and standards of practice for nurses and nurse administrators.
• Computer skills for email and WORD.
• Meeting facilitation and team building.
• Versatile and articulate verbal and written communication skills.

Kind and Length of Experience

• 3-5 years RN staff nurse experience in leadership role, such as an Assistant Nurse Manager, Nurse Manager or Educator.
• Experience with policy, procedure and/or program development.
