RN-Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

Autonomously and collaboratively, treats and manages patient health problems and serves as a researcher, consultant, and patient advocate in various healthcare settings.

Job Responsibilities

• Develops a plan of care within the scope of practice of the nurse practitioner using written protocols to ensure quality patient care.
• Utilizes prescriptive authority, procedures, referrals, treatments, and theories in accordance with state/federal laws and regulations.
• Enhances quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
• Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
• Provides clinical leadership.
• Supports life-long learning.
• Completes assigned goals.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year clinical experience functioning in the nurse practitioner role in a primary care setting.
• Education: Masters or Doctoral level as a nurse practitioner.
• Licensure: Current certification as a nurse practitioner.
• Eligible for or have certificate of fitness/prescription privileges as an RN.
