About the role
Join a dynamic neuro medical-surgical unit providing care for patients with neurological, surgical, and chronic heart failure diagnoses.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care by utilizing the nursing process to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Act as an advocate and establish effective relationships with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and compassionate work environment while serving as a mentor to colleagues and students.
- Perform assessments, manage patient responses, and possibly conduct point-of-care testing.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
- Valid RN license in the relevant state and BLS certification.
- No prior experience required.
Skills and physical requirements
- Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills.
- Physical ability for frequent standing, walking, lifting, and patient handling.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule
This role involves night shifts.
