RN - Neuro (Inpatient)

Role Overview

The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional patient care, utilizing nursing processes, technology, and resources within the healthcare setting. They are responsible for assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and updating documentation to ensure seamless team communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, develop, implement, and modify care plans based on patient needs.
• Ensure patient and staff safety, report hazards, and respond to changes in patient condition, especially neurological status.
• Delegate tasks to healthcare assistants, verify completion, and document all nursing activities.
• Administer medications following the "Five Rights," and maintain compliance with safety protocols such as fall precautions and infection control.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, participate in shift handoffs, and promote a positive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current RN license and BLS certification
• Associate's Degree or higher in nursing
• Critical thinking, strong communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to respond promptly to patient needs and neurological changes
