Job Summary
You will deliver compassionate, high-quality care that impacts patients' well-being and recovery. You will assess patients, develop care plans, administer medications, perform procedures, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive and ongoing assessments of patients' physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs
- Develops and individualizes patient-centered care plans based on assessment findings, physician orders, and evidence-based practice
- Sets measurable patient goals and outcomes
- Administers medications safely and accurately via various routes, including oral, intravenous, subcutaneous, and intramuscular, according to physician orders and hospital policy
- Performs skilled nursing procedures, treatments, and interventions as prescribed (e.g., wound care, IV insertion, catheterization, ventilator management oversight)
- Maintains accurate records and communicates patient status to other healthcare providers
- Makes critical assessments and takes appropriate action based on patient vital signs, laboratory results, and diagnostic test findings
Requirements
- Completed education as a Registered Nurse
- Registered Nurse: MN Basic Life Support - CPR
- Prior hospital experience preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Trauma Nurse Core Course
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support
